Meltzer, of 2541 Leghorn St. Mountain View, was returning from an animal auction in Hayward Saturday when one of two pigs he had in his truck got loose.

As he chased the pig he collapsed and was dead on arrival at El Camino Hospital, Mountain View. Meltzer retired in 1959 as an employe of the union stockyards in South San Francisco. For five years after moving to East Palo Alto from Illinois, he owned a dairy business. He moved to Mountain View in 1947. Meltzer is survived by his wife, Marie; two sons.

Jack and Jim Meltzer, both of Sunnyvale; eight daughters, Florence Lew-andowskl, Katherine Newby, Marion Kovas, Dorothy Cardoza, all of Sunnyvale, Ruth of Campbell, Lottie Forest of Palo Altot Irene Cariock of Redwood City and Eleanor Alman-dover of Mountain View; a sister, Mrs. Mary Goetzinger of Indiana; 29 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. While living in Palo Alto he did part-time gardening and worked for a time with the Palo Alto Sanitation Company. There are no survivors.

'Claire Weissman, a resident of Los Altos Hills for the past 10 years. She died Sunday in Palo Alto Stanford Hospital after a short illness. She was a native of New York City, N.Y., and moved to Los Altos Hills from Flushing, N.Y Redwood City man fatally stricken A Redwood City man, Levi Earl Williams, 63, suffered fatal heart attack Monday night while attending travel film series in Stanford Universitys Memorial Auditorium. Williams, who lived at 627 Vera was stricken at 8:03 P-m. He was taken to Palo Alto-Stanford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
