Product Summary

The Stöckli Stormrider 88's full retail price is €1,100. The Ski costs roughly €430 more than the average price of all All Mountain Skis, making it a real luxury Ski. The ski is very smooth and forgiving. It's the perfect tool for intermediate skiers. The All Mountain Ski prefers perfectly groomed runs over fresh powder. However due to its medium-width waist, this ski is also a good shout for riders who like to venture off piste from time to time. The ski is available from 166 to 184cm. This ski is a real cruiser and loves long turns. With a radius from 16.30m to 20.60m (depending on the lengh of the ski) you shouldn't expect too much in short turns.

The ski in details

Light & stable All-Mountain Ski, absolute performance On- and Off-Piste

Whether as a freeride ski or on the slopes, a true all-rounder like the Stormrider 88 knows how to impress everywhere. Rocker technologies from the freeride segment provide excellent lift in fresh snow. The waist width of 88 mm and the sporty tailoring also allow great carving on the slopes. Thanks to slight adjustments to the wood core, it’s now even more playful and agile than ever. So, what are you waiting for? Off to the mountains with you.

Technologies

Rocker
The longer bend at the tip and tail of the ski is known as rocker technology. With us, these are specially adapted depending on the type of ski. Typically, the longer and higher the rocker, the more lift is generated and the more playful and maneuverable the ski becomes.

  • Better lift in powder snow
  • Power saving
  • The ski turns more easily on the piste
  • Easier edging of the ski

Light Core & Super Light Core
In the all-mountain, freeride and touring sector, special light European wood species are used. This makes the core a little softer and more supple, which gives the ski dynamism and makes it very durable.

  • Weight saving due to very light cores
  • dynamic skiing characteristics
  • very durable

Thin Glass Laminate
This fiberglass laminate is 25% lighter than the conventional laminate. Thanks to the optimized material composition, the stiffness of the fiberglass and therefore the ski's handling characteristics have been retained.

  • Weight saving with the same flex

Solid Metal Edge Light
The same edge width as the SME. Thanks to a different punching, however, the edge is built less deeply into the ski, which saves weight.

  • Longer ski service life
  • Less susceptible to damage
  • More grinding processes possible

Polywall
This side panel is slightly softer and therefore more elastic than the phenolic side panel. It has damping properties and therefore has a significantly higher impact resistance.

  • High resistance
  • High impact resistance
  • cushioning properties

Tail rocker
Bending up of the ski tail: flat radius and long bend.

  • Playful ski thanks to the increased length of the tail rocker
  • Optimum edge grip when edged up thanks to the flat radius of the ski ends

Freeride Tip Technology
Light and stiff insert material at the tip of the ski makes the shovel more stable and smoother. With the lightweight Freeride Tip material, even more lift can be generated in deep snow.

  • Better lift with lower swing weight and a more stable shovel
  • Easy, effortless skiing in all snow conditions

Titanal Technology Pro
An additional protective coating with a slightly raised structure is applied to the Titanal surface. This protects the ski better against scratches on the surface and gives it a special touch.

  • More resistant to scratches
  • Pleasant touch
  • Visual effect
  • Weight reduction as the design is printed directly onto the Titanal
